Before each class in #BrandingOfMe, Gary lets us ask three questions. They can be about class, the job search, Gary's life, or anything at all. A few weeks ago, my roommate, Sam, asked how seniors could possibly fit all we want to do in Chapel Hill in these last few weeks. Without any hesitation, Gary said, "Just do it!" It seems like a very simple answer or one made without much thought, but it could not be more true.
I have been less active with my blogging lately, not for any real excuse (sorry, Gary). Like most seniors in this class, I have had a very bad case of senioritis. I have prioritized saying "yes" to everything these past few weeks and "no" to a lot of my schoolwork. I can not tell if this has stressed me out more or less. I have always been a really good student. My sisters like to call me a "goodie goodie." I skipped my first class the other day for no reason after taking advice from one of my best friends. "Everyone deserves to skip class at least once a day," Abby said after I was contemplating skipping or not. I'm not sure about every day, but she is right, I deserved it (or at least that is what I am going to tell myself)!
In 10-20 years, I am not going to remember the class I skipped or the school work I was a little behind on, I am going to remember what I did with the limited time I had here in my last few weeks. I am going to remember saying yes to Haley when she asked if I wanted to go out at 12:30 am on a Thursday for pickle-back shots. I am going to remember saying yes to taking senior pictures of my roommates at the crack of dawn. I am going to remember saying yes to being Patrick's date at his senior formal in Savannah, Georgia. These are just a few of my recent favorite "yeses."
I am going to keep "just doing it," as Gary said ... but maybe I will catch up on a few blogs.
With love,
MLC
